Dominic Jackson Steadicam / Camera Operator.

Welcome to the home of Dominic Jackson Steadicam / Camera Operator  who is based in the UK, and working Worldwide.

Dominic Jackson operates both camera and Steadicam on a variety of film and television productions for a multitude of production companies throughout the UK, as well as worldwide. He is as at home on a feature film as he is on live Television, and continues to deliver the very best in creative shot development and operation of the Steadicam, stabilised systems as well as standard camera operating.

The Trinity is the brainchild of Curt Schaller and was initially based upon the FoMa Maxima. The Trinity offers three axis stabilisation enabling shots that were originally never thought possible. Unlike other stabilised heads, the Trinity offers the ability to push through small areas on a horizontal plain, enabling fluid and continuous shots through windows or small openings, as well as making seamless transitions between high and low mode in a forward motion. The stabilised head means horizon issues are a thing of the past, even in the most treacherous of conditions.

A client commented recently ” the next thing you will be saying, is that it can shoot around corners”, in fact it can…

Feel free look around the site and do not hesitate to contact Dominic with any questions you may have.

TRINITY  MODES

  • STEADICAM

The Trinity is a 3 -Axis Hybrid head, combined with classic free flowing capabilities that are synonymous with Steadicam. Not only does this give the operator the ability to transition between high mode and low mode in a single fluid movement as well as a 360 degree roll, but it enables the operator to position the camera in hard to reach areas as well as look around corners when tracked into a contained environment.

  • VEHICLE MOUNT

The Trinity can combine with most existing vehicle mounts, giving super stabilised footage as well as complete remote 3 axis control over the camera.

  • HAND HELD

The  Trinity combined with the Maxima X30 transforms  into a super fluid, handheld gimbal. A completely different feel to that when mounted on Steadicam, the mount enables the passing of the rig from one operator to another in a single fluid movement.

  • CRANE OR WIRE MOUNTED

The Trinity can combine with most existing crane or wire mounts, giving super stabilised footage as well as complete remote 3 axis control over the camera, with the added flexibility that is offered by any crane or wire mount on the market.

What the filmmakers make of the Trinity.

The Trinity enabled me to position the camera exactly where I wanted it to be whilst enabling me to move with the action without the restriction that a standard steadicam would have had.

The Trinity enables film makers to move the camera in a way never thought possible!
